WOTS A BREAK?

Group breaks are a popular and engaging way for collectors to acquire sports cards in a more communal and cost-effective way. Let's dive in!

Concept of Group Breaks:
Group breaks involve a group of individuals who come together to purchase and open packs or boxes of sports trading cards. These breaks are often organized and hosted by people known as "breakers."

Spot Purchase:
Participants in a group break buy "spots" or "slots" which represent a specific team or group of teams in the sports league associated with the cards being opened.

Box Breaks:
The breaker, who facilitates the group break acquires sealed boxes or packs of sports cards. We specialize in basketball breaks and the boxes opened could be from various years and sets.

Live Stream:
The breaker conducts the break session live on camera, typically through a streaming platform. This allows participants to watch the process in real-time. We stream our opening live on Instagram through our account @wotapull.

Opening of Packs/Boxes:
The breaker then opens the packs or boxes one by one. This is done methodically, revealing the contents of each pack or box to the viewers.

Card Distribution:
As cards are revealed, they are matched with the teams that participants have bought spots for. For example, if someone bought the "Charlotte Hornets" spot, any cards featuring players from the Hornets would go to that participant.

Randomisation or Draft:
In some group breaks, teams may be randomly assigned to participants before the break begins. We use random.org if a randomiser is ever required.

Variability in Results:
The appeal of group breaks lies in the unpredictability. Participants may receive a variety of cards, ranging from common cards to rare or valuable ones. It adds an element of excitement and chance to the collecting experience!

Affordability and Community:
Group breaks provide a more affordable way for collectors to enjoy the thrill of opening packs or boxes without having to buy an entire box themselves. We hope to achieve a sense of community through giving back to our people.

Risk and Reward:
Participants enter group breaks with the anticipation of obtaining desirable cards from their favourite teams or players. However, since the outcome is based on chance, there is also a risk of not receiving high-value cards, or anything at all.

Storage and Shipping:
Once the stream has ended, the host will store each participants cards safely and securely. Cards are then requested to be shipped through the website via the on request shipping page. If a customer purchases shipping in combination with a break all cards in storage, in addition to the cards received from the purchased break will be sent at the conclusion of the livestream.
